Ashley Jenkins Wood was born in Frederick, Maryland but has deep family roots in South Carolina, and calls Columbia, SC home.
Ashley attended the University of South Carolina, and graduated with a Bachelors in Political Science and a minor in Business. While Ashleys love for style developed at a young age, her
expertise in style developed during her undergrad years USC; as she worked on USC Fashion Board, and worked with two style mentors post undergrad, as she developed her keen sense of
style. In 2018 her love for style, all things fashion, and beauty evolved into a lifestyle blog & business, Prissy With Pearls; in which Ashley helps men & women elevate their personal style.
In her corporate life, Ashley is a Special Projects Manager at the City of Columbia, and enjoys managing projects that help make Columbia better for all its citizens.
Ashley is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. A proud graduate of Leadership Columbia and Leadership South Carolina. She also devotes her time to following
boards to benefit her community: Columbia Opportunity Resource, Columbia Black Expo, and the Leadership Columbia Alumni Association. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys traveling, spending time with her husband and family, attending USC Gamecock football games, shopping, and creating curated & timeless wardrobes for her clients.
