Believing to whom much is given, much is required, Shakeima Chatman formed Divinely Inspired Virtuous Ambitious Sisters In Training Incorporated (D.I.V.A.S. In Training Inc.) to address issues that impact at-risk teenage girls. A character development and mentoring program, D.I.V.A.S. In Training Inc.’s mission is to bring out moral excellence in teenage girls as they aspire for success, honor, and power. The mission is accomplished through character development workshops that educate girls ages 13-18 in various areas including education, career development, personal finances, health, fitness, self-defense and personal hygiene. The organization served its first D.I.V.A.S. in 2012, by partnering with Jenkins Institute for Children to provide services to their residents. In 2017, the organization came under the Royal Foundation to enhance its programs and impact more girls.
