Jada M. Samuel, of Greenville, South Carolina, is a creative communicator, change agent and champion for girls.

Jada received her B.A. in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina in 2018. After graduating, she began her career as a lifestyle producer and reporter before transitioning into the world of politics as a digital strategist. The former on-air host for the SC Education Lottery recently earned her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing
from Louisiana State University – Shreveport.

In June, Jada was crowned Miss South Carolina 2023. She has earned over $85,000 in scholarships through the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Organization for her placement in the competition, her community service and dedication to her platform. After five years of competing at the state’s pageant, she made history – becoming the fourth Black woman and the oldest woman to hold the title. Jada will go on to compete at Miss America representing South Carolina!

Jada will spend her year of service implementing her Community Service Initiative – iShapeMe: Empowering Girls To Lead Through Mentorship. iShapeMe Inc. is a nonprofit mentoring organization that empowers girls and young women to shape themselves mentally, physically and spiritually. The mission is to encourage high self esteem, positive body image, a fit and healthy lifestyle and a grounded faith in Christ through events, scholarships and mentoring programs.

Jada is also a proud and active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and serves in the Gamma Nu Omega chapter of Columbia, SC.
